The Palatine Pack Cupid Classic

Field Events 9:00 am, Track Events 10:00 pm

  1. All entries must be completed online at Athletic.net. Entry instructions are available here.

  2. Individual athletes must create a profile in order to register.

  3. $15 per entry (Maximum 3 events per athlete). Includes Athletic.net processing fee.

    Entry deadline is Thursday, February 12th @ 11:59 PM.  

  4. Please enter the athlete's best mark. Athletes without marks will be placed in unseeded sections.

  5. Unlimited relays will be allowed per club. Please provide an approximate seed for each relay. 

     

Surfaces:

  • The track is a 6 lane, 200 meter Mondo surface. Athletes may wear up to ¼ pyramid spikes only

  • Long jump is also approved for ¼ pyramid spikes.

  • High Jump will be on the rubber courts. Tennis shoes only.

  • Shot Put is from a Polanik platform. Throwing shoes or tennis shoes allowed.

Coaches: Meeting in the field house classroom @ 8:30 A.M.

Scoring: No team scoring this meet. 

Location: Huntley High School field house will be open @ 8:00 A.M.

Eligibility: Open to all teams and any individuals who would like to compete unattached.  

Divisions:

  • Beginner (2nd grade and under CAN ONLY COMPETE IN 60, 200 and Long Jump) 

  • Youth (3rd-5th grade can compete in all events except 60 Meter High Hurdles)

  • Middle School (6th-8th grade) 

Awards: Individual and Relay Medals for 1st place finishers. Individual and Relay ribbons for 2nd and 3rd place finishers.

Equipment: We will provide starting blocks. No personal blocks are allowed. Teams are responsible for providing throwing implements and batons. 

Admission: FREE 

Food and Drink: NO FOOD or NON-WATER DRINKS ARE ALLOWED. Only water is allowed. Please respect the facility and follow the guidelines set out by Huntley High School.

Team Camps: Will be directed to one of the gyms. Please NO CAMPS IN THE FIELDHOUSE.

Time Schedule: Field events will begin at 9:00 am. Running events will begin at 10:00 am, and we will use a running schedule. Events will run in this order: Girls Beginner, Boys Beginner, Girls Youth, Boys Youth, Girls Middle School, and then Boys Middle School. We will combine heats across age and gender were possible and practical.

8:00 am Fieldhouse open to teams

8:30 am Coaches meeting in the field house

9:00 Field Events

  • Long Jump: 2 pits will be used. Girls will be on east runway. Boys will be on south runway. Middle School will go first followed by Youth. 4 jumps, 10 min warm up between flights 

  • High Jump: Boys will go first and be followed by girls 

  • Shot Put: 4 throws, all age groups and genders will go together. Will flight if necessary 

10:00 Running Events

  • 60m Hurdles (6th-8th grade only)

  • 60 meter dash

  • 1600 meter run

  • 4 x 200 meter relay (6th-8th grade only)

  • 600 meter run

  • 200 meter dash  

  • 4 x 400m relay
