Plainfield Pack TFCC Club

The TFCC competition club offers track and field training and coaching for incoming 5th through incoming 8th distance runners and incoming 5th through incoming 12th graders for sprints, throws, hurdles, and jumps. The club focuses on teaching the fundamentals of training and competition. We will also be focusing on building cross country runners up to have a base of training for cross country.

Events Offered: Cross Country, Distance (800, 1600), Sprints (100, 200, 400), Hurdles, Relays, High Jump, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put, Discus

Coaches: Plainfield Pack executive director Carson Vittorio, track and field lead coach Marcus Norment, and event coaches Anthony Woods, Emily Brodko, Taylor McCormick, and Shelley Christensen

Location: Plainfield South High School track

Days: Monday, Wednesday, Fridays

Dates/Times: June 9th - July 18th, 6:00 - 7:30 pm

Levels: Beginner, Intermediate and Experienced for middle school and high school athletes. All athletes will learn to train and compete regardless of prior training or skill.

Age Groups: Our distance group is open to incoming 5th grade-incoming 8th graders. Our sprint/jumps and throws group is open to incoming 5th graders- Incoming 12th graders.

Cost: $350 for all athletes. This is our cost for first time athletes. The price for returning athletes in future sessions will be $250. The extra $100 gets each athlete a Plainfield Pack backpack and a Plainfield Pack singlet. No athletes will be turned away due to inability to pay. Find Your Level

Beginner - Beginners have never tried cross country or track and field. They are often new to sports and looking to gain basic skills. Coaching focuses on relaxed introduction to many different track and field events or basic jogging and fitness.

Intermediate - Intermediates have some experience with training or competing either in cross country/track and field or other sports. They possess basic skills of the sport, but are looking to gain experience, ability, and fitness.

Experienced - Experienced participants have previous competition experience or training in specific event skills. They may possess elite goals in either cross country/track and field or be training for road racing from the 5K to the marathon.
